IR Motion Sensor Detector Module for ArduinoJS

Infrared PIR Motion Sensor Detector Module

Description

  • Automatic Induction: High level when someone enters the range, low level when they leave.
  • Photosensitive Control: Optional, not installed by default. Purchase and install a photosensitive resistor if needed.
  • Trigger Modes: L (non-repeatable) and H (repeatable); H is default.
    • Non-repeatable: Output high to low after delay time.
    • Repeatable: Output stays high if motion is detected during delay time.
  • Blocking Time: Post-sensing, module has a 3-4 second blocking time with no sensing.
  • Voltage Range: Operates between DC5V to 20V.
  • Micro-power: Quiescent current 65 microamps, suitable for battery-powered devices.
  • Output Signal: High-level signal compatible with various circuits.

Usage Instructions:

  • Allow 1 minute for module initialization after powering.
  • Avoid placing the sensor near light sources or where it can be affected by wind.
  • Install the sensor parallel to the direction of human activity for best results.

Attention Points:

  • Voltage Requirements: Use a stable power supply within the specified voltage range with a good regulator filter.
  • Proximity and Debugging: Keep the human body at an appropriate distance; touching the circuit can affect performance.
  • Load Interference: Use a stable power supply and consider voltage isolation if interference occurs.
  • Indoor Use: Avoid sunlight and strong RF fields; shield if necessary.
  • Installation: Enclose in a sealed box to prevent false signals.
  • Detection Angle: Use opaque tape to adjust if less than 90 degrees.
  • Sensor Sensitivity: Linked to the direction of human movement relative to the sensor.
  • Probe Placement: Mount on the reverse side of the circuit board; connect with a shielded cable shorter than 20 cm.
